Keep the game going - I think that's the deal -

China has about 900 Billion in USD - why would they mess up their safety net ?

The US buys stuff from China, China buys US Bonds, then US investors invest in China so that China can make more stuff...

Japan gets to print money and slowly reflate, while keeping the yen low enough to maintain full employment for factory workers in Japan and hedge funds on Wall Street...not to mention some SI members.

This whole arrangement is a thing of beauty, the object of intense envy by the Europeans, the Russians, and the other parts of the world which have not been able to get on board.

I think we will all really miss this system when it is gone, much more than we can imagine now.

I expect a messy transistion to some unknown future arrangements - which may not settle down for a few years.

I know you don't want to participate... how much choice will we really have ?

Fastow says banks helped falsify accounts

Tuesday September 26, 4:50 pm ET
biz.yahoo.com

<snip>

Andrew Fastow, the former chief financial officer of Enron, has accused 10 leading investment banks of helping the now-bankrupt energy group falsify its books in return for big advisory fees.

----------

J --

... fortunately for them, the banks are the US government -- lest they might sweat bullets at prospects of prosecution...

... and it would be a pity for them to suffer for such penny ante crimes -- when they own the Fed and the currency itself...

... after rotting fully from the inside, after being cored and consumed... the "collapse" will seem sudden and unexpected -- when the hollow facade falls.

best,
b

I like that, your child's weight in gold.

The Chinese Mint must be worried about you having a large family!
