I think China will keep going, along with India, by exporting / outsourcing, printing, infrastructure investing, and whatever, leading on to enhanced consumption

I think USA and Japan will play along, for lack of better alternatives.

I think they all are enthusiastic and as long as so, can keep going for a whole lot of years, despite the warning signs of hedge funds, fund of funds, ipo of funds, SPACs and all that we see today that were present in 1927-1928, derivatives and leverage out the wazoo, only more intense and damngerous ...

I am also enthusiastic, in a way, or in my way :0)

The key driver to the game, the American consumer, is rapidly getting exhausted. The game may not last that much longer.

The US buys stuff from China, China buys US Bonds, then US investors invest in China so that China can make more stuff... using raw materials from Brazil and Australia...

EP,

I know you don't want to participate... how much choice will we really have ?
Not much choice, indeed, but to participate. That is still a little too pessimistic, IMHHO. We can be optimistic although we could never be as sanguine as Mr. Greenspam. We just do not have as much controlling power as he had. However, by seeking the truth, we can all figure out what is in the pipe to various degrees. Thus, we can act preemptively so as to come out alive, at least, and likely better.

USA and China have different internal/governmental/ruling systems, but they have some similar virtues. I am as sanguine on China's continuous advancing as was Mr. G on US economy. Hu (pronounces "who") is of strategic vision.

Good day!

Arran
