Thank you very much for your comments. As I have pointed out before, Zionists/Israel/Jews occupied my attention simply because during the past five years and more so during the past three months, the Middle East has been in the spotlight almost daily. Actually, it was John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt's Silence of the poodles (Two American Views: The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy that appeared in the March/April issue of the London Book Review which has greatly fueled my interest and more.......... For your info, the Mearsheimer and Walt's report sheds a devastatingly revealing floodlight on how a dedicated, highly focused cabal, the Israel Lobby or AIPAC (American-Israel Public Affairs Committee) in America, is able to get a New Jersey-sized foreign country of merely 6 million people to lead the planet's most powerful country around by the nose and to accomplish this decade after decade in spite of both the neglected social and infrastructure needs of America itself and the self-destuctive results to America's welfare consequent on this support of the politicians' favorite ethnic group. I also understand that many members of the US Congress all too often readily accepted speeches and drafts of policy matters prepared for them for the purpose of achieving outcomes desired by the Lobby. Oh, what a convenience and tremendous saving in cerebration and time for those members of Congress! No wonder George Ball, a former US diplomat once observed, When Israel's interests are being considered, Members of Congress act like trained poodles. They jump dutifully through hoops held by Israel's lobby. .......The lobby's most powerful instrument of intimidation is the reckless charge of anti-Semitism. And not only that. Any dissenting or uncooperative member of Congress was made an example of: generally his/her objectives would be thwarted through lack of co-operation/funding or in some other way. Even worse, he/she would not be re-elected. Hence my remarks in prior posts: "The Israel Lobby has achieved "kingmaker" status. Dr. Mohamed Mahathir once said that the Jews rule the world by proxy. To John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt's credit, they were courageous enough to bring the cabal's clout to the attention of the American public. But no sooner had their report been published when they were roundly lambasted and criticized. Of course, you know by whom. don't you? I guess I have already written enough on Zionists/Israel/Jews for now. I will take a respite from this topic for a while and let others carry on with same if they so wish to. But will they ??????????? We shall see. .
