In the Middle East, using your analogy, the Iranians and the Syrians are the French. We're the British. The Syrians? Fighting for their freedom from America? The Iranians? You're actually analogizing the Ayatollah Khomeini and Ahmadinejad, children of the Dark Ages, to Tom Paine, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, children of the Enlightenment? Wow. Shall I go on? It's a free country, but you are not impressing me with your knowledge of history or your insight into current events.
