Oh groan! My sentiments exactly. I hate housework because it's never done. I have an enormous amount of respect for my late wife who did all this and never complained about it. No husband can possibly know what a stinking job housework is, until he has to start doing it himself. Problem for me is that I hate messes worse than I hate the work to clean it up, so the day never ends. Hope they don't stop makin' whiskey!

I finally hired the daughter of a friend to clean my house once every two weeks. That takes a big load off, but she isn't here to empty the dishwasher or cook meals. I don't complain about all of that and am happy to do what I can to make our lives comfortable. He works hard and deserves to be taken care of. If I were working it would be a different story, but I'm not, so I pitch in as much as possible.

It is getting all of the other stuff that is on my list done that bogs me down. I don't prioritize well, and feel guilty about neglecting those things.

I had dinner with a divorced friend last night who has to work two jobs just to maintain. And all of the friends who are married and work have much more to complain about than me. I consider myself very lucky..........I pretty much do what ever I want.

How many women......or men for that matter........can say that.
