If she does a good job consider yourself lucky. I've gone through three "house cleaners" over the years. None did a decent job and spent less time doing it with each subsequent visit. Of course, she still wanted the same amount of money. One of them wanted to charge me mileage from her place to mine.

As much as I hate doing it, I keep the place clean and picked up.

My real only complaint isn't anyone elses' "fault" but mine....We can ALL do EVERYTHING (weeeeeeeeeelll.....most everything, but heavy lifting around the house), but I seem to cram my schedule so tightly and with so much that it's my own fault for not having enough time to get everything done. <ggg>

Laundry is never a problem...I have a maid in the shape of a washer and dryer there. I'm old enough to remember my grandmother and aunt, who lived on a ranch, boiling the water on the coal stove every monday for laundry....LOTS and LOTS to do there, including hanging it up, taking it down, etc. Everything smelled so good coming in from outside. My folks eventually bought them a new washer and dryer, and had to have the old house rewired to do it....It was just like magic to them.

We do take much for granted, for sure.

Today, we had a great day, and hope you all did as well. Beautiful fall day, technicolor colors, some fog early this AM...Drove all around Whidbey, then to Anacortes for lunch and more sightseeing, then to LaConner for some shopping....Twas' SO much fun! We're both dragging right now.
