Are you trying to excuse the sickness of the Death Cult? The IRA was certainly an exception in the realm of Christianity, otherwise you would be able to come up with a long list of examples. You can't come up with a such a list.

lazarus...."Was the IRA an "exception"? Went on for decades.".... As i recall the IRA terrorists were not murdering in the name of some make believe god but for land and the right to govern this land without interference from the Brits. They were not murdering innocent people all over the world but were seeking to have control over what they believed to be their land. The moslum killers have no interest in land but seek to rule the world in the name of their god and their radical religion. Other than they are both terrorist organizations there is no similarities. So to bring up the IRA thing as many liberal fanatics do to defend the actions of a world class cult such as islamic terrorism is a desperate act to defend a liberal position.
