False teachers are a danger. So is false pride.

I know what it is going to be but not it's exact final form.

John the Baptist said His winnowing fork is in His hand now. I believe the false teachers are one method that He uses that separates the wheat from the chaff.

Also, it is clear from John 8:31-59 that Jesus got rid of false believers immediately. In that case, He told those who had just believed on Him that they needed to be free. This led to a confrontation in which He said they (these new believers) were seeking to kill Him. And in moments, they did just that by picking up stones to put Him to death. Jesus has never changed His methods. His word either attracts or repels. True believers will continue with His Word and find true freedom. Temporary believers will find themselves going after other gospels and other Jesuses soon enough.

Today the TV is filled with those preaching a sensual Gospel and presenting a different Jesus, for they traffic in earthly benefits primarily: promising healings, breakthroughs, harvests, releases, miracles, riches and prosperity. This is the sort of Gospel that can pry a lot of money from even the poorest of them. They prey on desperation: promising relief, if, of course, they send in their 'seed faith' donations first. In return, the unsuspecting fall into the same ditch the perpetrator is headed toward (Luke 6:39-40).

Of course, people can come out of deception because Jesus is a good shepherd who goes after His own to rescue them from the mouth of the lion and the bear.
