Mike Wallace: And then, this past March, General Abizaid visited Congressman John Murtha on Capitol Hill.

Bob Woodward: John Murtha is, in many ways, the soul and the conscience of the military, and he came out and said, "We need to get out of Iraq as soon as it's practical." And that sent a ten-thousand volt jolt through the White House.

Wallace: Yeah.

Woodward: Here's Mr. Military saying we need to get out. And John Abizaid went to see him, privately. This is Bush's and Rumsfeld's commander in Iraq, and John Abizaid held up his fingers, according to Murtha, and said, about a quarter of an inch apart, and said "We're that far apart."

Wallace: Abizaid and Murtha?

Woodward: (gestures with fingers) That far apart.

"I do believe that we have become so consumed with"Might makes right" and winning is everything that we have concentrated on military power as a means of war waging.

AS soon as someone figures out how to make money on a weaponry that employs less force we will be changing our tactics and strategy".

Since the world, at this time is about the seeking for happiness (in various supposed forms), and making money is the almost universally chosen methodology, hopefully people will soon wake up to the fact that:

COOPERATION + TOLERANCE = PEACE

and the WORLD makes FAR MORE MONEY in peace, because:

(1) spending on wealth GENERATING assets
(2) growth of consumer populations
(3) growing health and consumption of consumers
(4) markets for goods and service vastly increases

The present model of war for the sake of power for the sake of preserving economic elites has to be seen for what it is, and
STOPPED!

Namaste!
