One anecdote doesn't get you far. The real issue is people who prey on children, who are more numerous among heterosexuals than homosexuals in absolute numbers, and maybe the same percentagewise, I don't know. I am appalled at child molestation and shooting up schools. I think they are both the actions of real psychos. But I don't think there is any group affiliation that coincides with those actions that would hold up to any scrutiny, apart from the fact that people who shoot own or have acquired weapons, and men who molest children are men. So attempts to make a group link stick just come across as prejudice of one sort or another.
