Novak writes, "A member of the House leadership told me that Foley, under continuous political pressure because of his sexual orientation, was considering not seeking a seventh term this year but that Rep. Tom Reynolds, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), talked him into running."

Note: this was after the leadership definitely knew about Foley. Some protectors these guys are. Yep, welfare of the pages was upper most on their minds...

>Recalling facts from the past that you have forgotten may be imagination to you, for me, it is good memory. Don't you recollect Clinton enlisting Jesse Jackson for some "counceling" about his problems of dating of his female subordinates or grabbing their breasts? Don't you recall Dems rallying to Clinton defense? Don't you remember the rape charge against Clinton, and of all people NOW coming to Clinton defense?

I vaguely remember something about a witchhunt, yes...
