So the K8L era will use stars as code names. Classy.
Message 22877620

Altair = K8L Quad Core
Antares = K8L Dual Core
Arcturus = Antares without L3.
Spica = Single core K8L (Sempron?)

Were they using: Altair, Antares, Aldebaran, Rigel
- the four horse team of Ben Hur.

Let the Chariot Race begin.

So, who'll be the first out with a good solid AM2+ MB?

Just a small remark: Just like Barcelona, Budapest, and Shanghai, 'Altair' is another example of a code name not mentioned on any previous long term far eastern AMD roadmap.

Rink

romus,

good to see the details of the desktop roadmap. I am curious if the first server versions of K8l are still scheduled for Q2 2007.

Also, I hope they can clock DC Antares higher than 2.9 GHz. Conroe will likely be at 3.2 or even 3.4GHz at the same time.
