Depends on the area. I've seen where you have a huge supply of new homes for sale or rent in Port St Lucie, FL flood the market and rent are down some from a couple of years ago. Go south 75 miles to built out Ft Lauderdale where we only build new high end vacant condos with no end users in the same time zone you'll find mid price range and lower apartments and homes for rent in short supply for the working class are easily 30% higher than two years ago.. Probably is a story played out in many areas of the changing dynamics ongoing in much of the country as we adjust to the fallout of the easy credit and housing bubbles..
