Wow! Uncle Adolf looks like the quintessential psychiatrist!

My most notable ancestor, Sir Humphry Davy, was pretty cool but sniffed too much nitrous oxide, a gas he invented (laughing gas), and died young. He discovered and described a number of chemical elements, including sodium and aluminum. He was knighted for invention of the carbide lamp, which revolutionized coal mining, and also wrote one of the first books on fly fishing. He also wrote poetry and was a friend of Samuel Taylor Coleridge and many of the romantic poets of his era.

None of that prevented my grandfather (Russell Davy) from being a cad. He was such a jerk that he left my grandmother shortly after Mom was born. I think he got his cue from Frankenstein. jchemed.chem.wisc.edu

My other famous ancestor sold his interest in Sears and Roebuck for $50,000. His name was Roebuck. Not too smart, huh!

Okay, now I understand Uncle Adolf and Aunt Mary, but who was the little boy...your father, uncle, cousin?
