Sorry, don't really understand your question, or even it's relevance to my post.

That chart was very specific to gasoline consumption, and the only point I made is that 10% swings in gasoline price have a relatively minor impact (about 0.3% per 10% move) on consumption spending. Here is total energy consumption as % of DPI in 2005 (when prices were lower than now), it's more important. Also has medical costs, both representing more steady costs squeezes.
