We have stripped every mention of God from our society.

Really? I haven't noticed any such total stripping. Maybe there is a point in there somewhere, maybe even one I could agree with, but by so greatly exaggerating it you confuse the issue and lose the real point.

I can see where the Muslims are freaking out, since all the God hating Europeans are making caricatures out of them. They shouldn't be required to have a sense of humor going about their day, any more than a woman has to worry about some guy making sexual comments to her in the work place.

The Europeans are writing cartoons that are published in newspapers thousands of miles away in languages that most of the Muslims can't read. It isn't equivalent to sexual harassment on unless you would call publishing a sexist cartoon or story to be sexual harassment against all women (or men depending on the specific joke or story) in the world.

In our secular society, civil rights have won and religious rights have been eliminated.

Specifically what religious right has been eliminated?

A spiritual state is the optimal manifestation of religous respect, where different religions are respected equally.

Lovely thought.

We need a 4th phase for the evolution of spiritual pluralism, which respects an individuals right to practice their religion.

But my question was about how that can be played out. What would it look like?

(I assume this tolerance is extended to those who don't practice a religion.)
