Maybe but I have to imagine that with 23 million people, they are worried that NK's problems will spill over into China. A bad neighbor eventually causes problems for the neighbors.

That's what I originally thought as well. But China is very concerned about Japan arming themselves with nukes.

Plus China is already trying to hide a refugee crisis along the Yalu river. If tensions continue to mount and the North Korean regime starts to unravel, the refugee situation would only get worse.
