I have to disagree somewhat with you here. Its true the Allies probably could not have licked Hitler, and certainly not in time to avoid his new "weapons" that would have possibly swung the war in Germany's favor, without the massive MATERIAL as well as TROOPS support. However, the Russians suffered INCREDIBLE CASUALTIES fighting Hitler, the British fought Hitler for several years, nearly all alone allowing America to have a BASE upon which to launch its European invasion. So, in summary, I am saying ALL ALLIES deserve the credit for licking Hitler AND HIROHITO and saving the world from a dictatorship. jdn
