There are many charges that don't depend on testimony, such as contracts that forbade advertising or any documention of the conditions for marketing rebates.

That is blindingly obvious. If AMD can't get Ted and his ilk to say Intel pressured/threatened their companies, AMD will loose its case.

Apparently not blindingly enough. It's reported as if it was a fact yet we don't have him confirming that statement or the context. AMD accusation != fact. Dovrak repeating a rumor != fact.

For arguments sake, however, let's suppose Ted repeats the Guacomole incident in depositions and on the stand. How deep in the guacamole will Intel find itself?

I wouldn't presume to know for sure but obviously it wouldn't help.
