Bush Sr. bailed out of his plane with two crew members onboard. They went down to their deaths. He survived. Bush Sr. has been haunted by that ever since. The key question was, was his plane really disabled, or did he just panic? Only Bush Sr. knows. Seriously. Also, is getting shot down so heroic? All of which makes the combat heroism of John Kerry all the more impressive, which makes the need for Karl Rove to smear him all the more necessary. Get how it works? But Rove may be finished after this election.
