I think one drink per day is a ridiculous definition of "binge drinking" as well.

DMA was attempting to find a study which supported his assertion that most people have abused alcohol, so George W. Bush and Kim Jong-il are not alcoholics, but actually quite normal alcohol abusers. It would be funny if it were not so pathetic.

Actually less than 6% of the population are heavy drinkers. Even dropping the bar as low as "one drink per day every day" this includes only 22% of the population!

The reality is that only a tiny percentage of the population abuse alcohol like George W Bush did. Many alcoholics find his alcohol abuse normal, and point to their own use and that of their friends to support that level of abuse as normal. But this is merely part of the alcoholics pattern of denial.
