our politics has been about the swing vote for as long as I can remember voting... The parties care... all parties have their core which deviate rarely if ever... they have those in the bag for all intents and purposes except on extreme occasions like the self destruction of old PCs or the Union Nationale with the arrival of the Quiet Revolution...

Catholics shouldn't influence the vote either but they do. And there have been Jewish Families in Canada since the English first got of the boats. Why wouldn't their votes count. What did you think Bob Rae was a Hindu?
