Congrats to all the winners and thanks to JJ for running the contest very professionally. Looking at the site, it is a great site now, with tons of useful info. I would not be surprised if a lot of these analysts asking questions during the CC don't have you in their favorite bookmarks.

Joe

JJ, thanks for running the contest again. I fully agree with Joe.

You're right. As a Spansion investor I find the Spansion rev category useful, but understand it's logical to let it go. I propose that chipset+gpu operating margin will need to be an added category, and I see use in another category for split in cpu and chipset+gpu rev (cpu rev / chipset+gpu rev).

Currently: Proposal:
Total rev Total rev
CPU rev / ChipsetGpu rev
CPU op margin CPU op margin
Spansion rev Chipset+GPU op margin
EPS EPS
stock price Stock price

Rink

Here's an alternative for replacing the Flash Revenue category:

Revenue guidance for succeeding quarter as a percentage.

Also, replace CPU profit with CPU revenue in the AMD contest.

Justification:
1. Keeps the same number of categories as the current contest, encouraging participation
2. By predicting Total Revenue and CPU Revenue, we are basically also predicting GPU/chipset revenue as the difference minus the small amount of embedded revenue
3. If I were going to add any "margin" category, it would be overall company gross margin, for both Intel and AMD. I don't think AMD reveals CPU gross margin even now. CPU Profit divided by CPU Revenue is really Net Margin.
4. Replacing CPU profit with CPU revenue makes the AMD and Intel categories identical.

JMHO, Petz
