Believe? Or, had a need to dismiss them? In the end it looked like a nice bundled up package. Neat and tidy. It gave closure to many.

As Democrats go JFK might not have been so bad. At least he cut taxes, and he didn't expand the federal government in the way or to the extent FDR or LBJ did.

None of which means I exactly agree with him, or don't think he is overrated by many, but I'd probably rather have someone like him as president than someone the Democrats are likely to select in 2008.
