XOM is toast if they can't grow production with $60 crude. $10 billion a qtr in profits and production continues down. The street is littered with companies who thought they knew better than anyone else. The largest, badest, kick ass computer company of its day decided the personel computer wasn't going anywhere and let Bill Gates develop DOS on it own. Ooops, so much for being the smartest in the room. Can't get hung up on management knowing it all. CC

Aren't you the guy who gets bent out of shape when you see a post that has even the slightest whiff of politics in it? Message 22937038 ....looking at the possibility of a Demo victory in a coupla weeks, and the virtual certainty of things like windfall taxes, punitive regulations, arbitrary limits on availability of rational exploration and production areas, and a host of other detrimental effects on your future margins that such an elective outcome would produce....
