I don't know about Gore, but a lot of people formerly opposed to nuke plants now see them as a neccesary evil, one they'll have to accept to slow global warming, not just here, but worldwide. Wind and solar aren't enough for our needs, especially with those upcoming cars that run on super-capacitors. ( So, in a way, the Iranian nuclear program is "green"! <g>)

I've never been against them, and thought a lot of the opposition to them is irrational.
