<<Everyone cannot be like him to hide enough gold to survive>>

... why not?

<<For a monetary system to collapse, the political system would be gone too & anarchical period rings in>>

... agreed.

<<There could be chaos in streets in every major cities>>

... probably.

<<Do you think this will occur ?>>

... yes. Just for example, many Asian families were saved by localized versions of breakdowns during the Asian financial crisis, and the private sale of gold was prominently mentioned in Korea, Thailand and Indonesia. Other examples where gold would have made a sure difference would be Argentina, Zimbabwe, Russia, Iraq, and etc.

<<Of course not>>

... why not, seeing as localized versions seem to be happening with increasing frequency, culminating in what to any movie goer should be the 'inevitable' grand finale.

<<Besides you can still trade your gold as the price is right for you>>

... I trade only paper gold. I hoard physical.

<<But to think US dollar would go to zero is a bit silly>>

... why not, it is not as if it hadn't happened to the US dollar before. It appears here we have uncovered your false premise and shaky foundation.

Ever hear of the expression 'not worth a continental dollar' ? what do you suppose the expression is refering to?

Have you ever heard folks say 'not worth a Carthaginian gold piece'? No, of course not, even though Carthage hasn't given the world any trouble for the last few thousand years.
