I agree. I wouldn't disqualify someone for something like this. OTOH I think it might lose him a few votes, but probably very few, most people who are going to vote have probably already made up their mind, and I don't think this is enough to change most of those votes.

Remember the fuss about Lynn Cheney's book. This is somewhat similar (except that Webb's books apparently include passages involving pedophilia).

I agree that partisan democrats won't even remember it when they go to the polls. This may resonate more with security moms and soccer moms than we know. To the extent they are independents, it will have to weigh on their votes.

This should close the door on Webb's run for the Senate.

mindset, MM, mindset....a guy that writes a bunch of demeaning degrading stuff about women, fiction or no, you have to wonder about...also writing about some daddy doing perverted things with his own son is another thing I would SURELY worry about...what did that lend to the book?
