Probably the NasDaq website numbers are just incomplete !
They show 570 mio. Total Shares Held
Before the merger, we had ca. 480 mio. IIRC, so that TSH # is ca. 18.8 % increase, i.e. ca. 90 mio. more shares !!
I guess the 118.8% came from using the 570 mio. and the 480 mio. in 2 diffferent calculations, that's all !

I must have missed something. How could insti ownership be above 100%? /Petz

Have you listened to The Darkside presentation about naked short selling ?

One could imagine that the WS crooks got too greedy and "printed" too many counterfeit AMD shares.

So, now a few big stock holders can tally up the shares between them, and come up with more than a 100% of shares ever issued.

If it's indeed the case, how will the SEC crooks resolve this ?
Suppose the instis refuse to sell at any price ?

It's probably just an error, but the alternative and its implications is "fun" to speculate about, I think.
