Iranians are not Somalis and Somalis are not Iranians!

Apparently the restaurant that you mentioned does a significant amount of business with both Muslims and non-Muslims, and the Iranian restaurateur appreciates he/she is doing business in a democratic society! and is a believer in
the old adage, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do".

BTW, I know of a good number of "Muslims" and "Jews" who eat roasted pork with gusto and wash it down their esophagus with
liquor !!!

There is a Persian restaurant...

That article I posted suggested it might be a narrow problem, one that applies to just Somalis or that particular set of Somalis.

There are lots of Muslim owned restaurants and groceries around me. I never noticed if any of them sell liquor since I don't drink. I'll have to make a point to notice. There's a place that I frequent with a grocery and cafe run by Lebanese Christians. Their meats are halal and they sell alcoholic beverages, which seem natural since many of their customers are Muslim and many aren't. I was in there at the end of Ramadan and heard the proprietors wishing some Muslims a happy holiday. Customer friendly, seems to me.
