Thanks for checking...glad to see my memory was still intact...<g> BUT, hopefully, one day, we will be talking about the REAL issues... As I noted: The real bottom line is: are we going to insist that the Government fund research into EVERY ONE OF human ills? And how much is the amount of funding to be every year on EACH of these ills? Talk about BIG Government spending..... Are we as a Government going to spend the same amount of money we have for stem cells as we do for say....AIDS? And how much do we give to EACH type of cancer research??? And Diabetes....and Arthritis, and Drug Abuse and the effects of Meth, and for EVERY SINGLE DISEASE mankind contracts? In a selfish way, I wish they would fund to the hilt a few diseases .....I could be noted as a "victim" of two or three of various diseases as well...but I haven't gone out of my way to campaign for government funding. Hopefully, those big bad drug companies are working on meds for the diseases, and that after they have spent Billions in R&D, then actually passing through ALL the MANY Government hoops for the drug to become open to the public, that we will be able to afford them.
