If we can take small incremental steps in conversation we can save a lot of oil. For instance if we start teaching fuel economy in driver ed and make people generally aware of how a light foot can save energy---we probably could get a 10% reduction in gas consumption right there.

Things like that---we don't have to change the world as much as we need to change ourselves.
