I found the historical issues raised by Feldman interesting and valuable. Afrasiabi accurately pointed out factual errors and misleading statements by Feldman. That Feldman resorted to outright lies and intentional misleading, diminishes the value Feldman's opinion.

Perhaps because he is a political scientist and not a theologian or Islamic historian.

Incidentally, your assertion that "a significant portion of Muslims, perhaps even a strong majority" of Muslims could approve of first use by Iran or other Muslim countries is patently false. Even Feldman did not go that far.
