I think my old system still functions if I would just put it together. I have the variable speed turntable, 8 track, and a whole trunk full of LPs. I want to transcribe them to CD and get rid of them, but that takes time and determination that I don't have right now.

I have quite a few record albums too. I have carefully stored them to preserve their value. Eventually they might be a unique collectors item. There are a few in the collection that were valuable when I was playing them. I was an early adopter of CDs, so I own at least a third of my records on CD too.

I have ripped over 2/3 of my CDs and sometimes listen to it that way. I am trying to get to doing it that way entirely, but have not found the right software for managing my music library yet. Media Player is not it, neither is Media Center.
