Now, Kerry may be toast for 08, but he probably should be for other reasons than this.

If the Democrats win by a larger margin on Nov 7 than what the polls were saying before Kerry's remark, then he becomes an instant darling of the Democratic crowd.

Currently, the mood in the country against Bush is so intense, it is possible that Kerry's remarks could be the spark that lights the fire to drive a large number of Democrats, service moms, soccer moms, SUV moms etc. etc. out to the polls.

The anger against the Repubs is very high.
