Yeah, thanks. I've seen it. With all sorts of musings as to whether it's authentic or not. Who cares. The point is well taken.

You may recall that it was often observed in the 90s that Clinton was fortunate in his political foes. Gingrich was considered the classic example. Though Ken Starr could be so considered also.

Well, George Bush has also been fortunate in his political foes. He would have been a small footnote in American history had Gore run even a half way decent campaign in 2000. And had Kerry run an equally half way decent one in 2004, GWB, while more than a footnote, would have been considered a bad one term president. Not one for the history books, as they say.

Now we have catastrophes on all fronts. Economic as well as militarily. And a polity that is bubbling over with hatred for "the others."

Well, off to bed.
