imo, Kerry would have run the whole affair much more competently and with fewer immediate fall outs. But in the end I doubt Iraq would not have ended up in chaos. I also find it possible that the neocons and RR could have actively worked against Kerry so as to score political points and that likely Kerry would not have been that effective having to work with a republican congress. The net result, imo, would have been a more prolonged US stay in Iraq and total assignment of the blame on Kerry and Dems...The current situation has had the advantage of having the same people who started the war seeing it through, making finger pointing not an option anymore.
