You know I posted somewheres on the Free for All that I was very leery that Harper had brought in ex Harris cabinet members (the gang that could not shoot straight). I think I was focused on healthcare at the time.. Remember the budget surprise that McGuinty got when he took office ? Well Flaherty spent time as Finance minister after Eeves left the post. opportunity to shoot themself in the foot I think that Harper and Flaherty have shot themselves in both feet and caught the ricochet in the head... but I know you mean me :O) nukes ? Ignatief would have had us in Iraq :o(... but I brought the nukes up when the Liberals in power.. Long before I ever thought the sun could set on the Liberals, even temporarily. At least all of our guys are still a bit smarter than that guy in Pyongyang... and he's not blowed himself up real good yet :O) hunky dory I get it :O) The crux is I don't think the move was particularly good for Canada as it reinforces our status as a twilight investment area... ie.. better than Bolivia but no where nearly as safe as the US... We need US investors and this event will not make them feel any warmer towards us.. and I definitely disagree that it will make Harper stronger.. As to the trusts I still like Canetic under 16... I posted this before yesterday's bounce.. of course if folks income expectations are lower than the unit price may stabilize higher... I thought the trusts were pricey all around before.. hence no holdings.. Message 22972928 what do ya think Conservative or Liberal, Republican or Democrat ;o)
