Step into my way back machine. This was back in 19 and 71, there was a VA guy (head of the office) that handled areas, I think mine did 3 counties. He did the college and medical stuff for returning GIs. Also helped you get a GI loan for a house. He got a check that covered everything and then sent out the individual checks.

He scammed the taxpayers and all the GIs in his area.

Status is I'm retired and don't want to go to school. Funny thing is I was burned by scalding water while on active duty and could have gotten a 10% disability I didn't apply as it healed up ok. At least he didn't get to steal that money.
