"My point has been made and supported with facts...."

Wrong on both counts. Unless you consider a high school education and some college "the lower end of the academic spectrum." Here's what you started this conversation with:

"Assuming that Kerry was not attempting humor...what evidence do you have that he is wrong that the people we have as "combat" troops are not at the lower levels of the academic spectrum....this is not a revelation and has been true since at least WWII... I understand, as Perot used to say, that this like talking about the crazy aunt in the basement, but facts are facts. I believe it's true that during the Vietnam war, about 30% of the combat troops, ie "grunts", were minorities...."

Then you went on to actually show us all that even the Marines, the most junior and least educated service, had a junior enlisted corps of volunteer high school graduates. Not the dropouts, and not the troublemakers. And that's with you excluding all the other fine troops we have in Iraq. You didn't "make and prove your point," you proved yourself to be in error. You showed, definitively, that even the "worst of the best" are better people than their civilian contemporaries.

And don't give me some left wing editorial as if it somehow proves anything, except that there are a lot of anti American leftists out there.
