Not directly. Or probably not even indirectly. One of the things I liked about Sir Bush the Old is that he, for the most part, chose competent people for his appointees. And whatever I might dislike about Baker, he is extremely competent and has a realistic view of foreign policy. Gates, though, is a failure. Although he promised to fix the parking problem at A&M, it is still all frakked up...


I meant Bush Sr. would play an indirect role. BTW that Gates fellow is not only incompetent but Daily Kos is suggesting he is corrupt.
