I haven't had ham in a long time...your curried squash sounds yummy. I will try that with my squash.

I made a really wonderful bbq sauce for chicken last week - kind of by accident.
it's really good, and since I never measure, this is all approx

2 tbs light olive oil
approx 1/2 onion minced
tbs minced garlic
maybe 3 tbs of worcesteshire sauce
brown sugar - 2 or 3 tbs - to taste
2 tbs balsamic vinegar
some ketchup
couple of dashes of hot sauce
dash cumin
and a bunch of pomegranate seeds.
Saute all of it in a pan on low for maybe half an hour with a lid on it doesn't burn, just melds, then heat light olive oil in a pan and quickly braise both sides of chicken breasts, coat with sauce then bbq them not on hot, hot, but a temp where they'll be ready in 15 to 20 mins, and keep basting them. They were scrumptious.

I am still waiting on thanksgiving recipes! Karen! Doesn't she need to post one?? Obviously she is a good cook.

Do you think the men just aren't into recipes or something? Don't they want to indulge their anima side?

The curry sounds great-- as you know I am going mostly vegan and am scrounging for good meatless recipes. Do you mean when you say you"curried", that you smashed the spices in after precooking the squash, or did you bake it.
