Indeed interesting and thought provoking.

This tidbit of insight has lead me to conclude that all of our discussions, all of our study of policy, and all of our intellectual effort, is ultimately a waste of time. I knew this intuitively when I was much younger and more rational because I refused to vote on the ground that my vote didn't really count. My time, I thought, was more profitably spent on something else. From an economics not to mention math standpoint, I was right!

In elections with millions of voters, the personal benefits of learning more about policy are negligible, because one vote is so unlikely to change the outcome. So why bother learning?

Perhaps time to let the herd rule.

VBG.
