To win in America, the Republican party has to be a "big tent" party. This is not any different from the Democrats, who include Republicans like Lieberman.

The fact is that there is very little difference between the left side of the Republicans and the right side of the Democrats. The two party system in this country forces the two parties to be quite similar.

P.S. Where are the usual Republican stalwarts? Are they off licking their wounds? Do they remember that I told them that Bush would do this to the Republicans? Actually, I thought it would be a lot worse.
