I called - the sprinkles are Red Star Nutrional Yeast. Like you, I definitely prefer the holistic, natural approach to healing and health. So far, so good, thank goodness.

My daughter ALWAYS answers questions by asking questions...so I briefly mentioned your concerns. She wanted me to tell you that she doesn't use any oils whatsoever in cooking because oils are harmful...Well, geeze, that's not 100% true. While oils can go bad very quickly and may be a source of cancer causing agents, sesame oil does not go bad as far as I know.

One of my favorite of her tofu/vegan recipes is Happy Hen salad. it's egg salad without the eggs. She makes her own mayo now, too. anyway, found that recipe. I do NOT miss the eggs in this faux egg salad, which is a fab replica. I'm sure you know, but always buy non-GMO soya products. veganpeace.com
