A black repub won the house in a mainly white district. No democrat has done that.

I think using the percentage of blacks in the population as the comparison figure would make more sense.

Why?

Neither Republicans nor Democrats are selecting candidates (black or white) at random. They are selecting them from a pool of people who have views broadly compatible with the party. The pool of black democrats is much larger then the pool of black republicans.
