Believe 'Independents' (those registered as such) are likely a lot closer to 1/3 of the voting public then your 1/5th.

(Last I saw... 'Dem', 'Independent', and 'Rep' were neck-and-neck in numbers... with 'Ind' showing as second largest grouping in exit polls this year....)

You make good sense, I hope you're right, but that clown murtha has been very outspoken over the past two days about how he's going to "teach Bush a lesson" and "we're all going to get to the bottom of this," we're going to "have an investigation and find out all about it." With that kind of talk, even the television interviewer was startled with such arrogance... that kind of talk will only turn us into another laughing stock worldwide... is this what these politicians will do with their newly acquired political power? If so, this is shameful and disgraceful...
