If one wants a Democratic Party which is: -- pro-war -- pro-empire (but please call it KEEPING AMERICA SAFE) -- totally plugged into the Military Industrial Complex, but via the FINANCIAL side of things, not the OPERATIONAL side -- blindly, irrevocably pro-Israel -- always primarily devoted to its big funders -- Clinton-style middle of the road (MINUS THE CHARM OF BILL) but with the shameless pandering to the "wind of the moment" exemplified by Hilary) -- fundamentally Republican-LITE -- stripped of any of its Left-leanings -- destined to self-destruct maybe even faster than the Republicans because UTTERLY BEREFT OF FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE and ABSOLUTELY NOT COMMITTED TO THE PEOPLE (Except via Spin) Then Rahm Emmanual is your man. Tom Delay (THE LITE VERSION, but only in appearances). Underneath the same basic energy, but more smarts than Tom and more "savoir-faire" Fortunately there are other versions of the Democratic-archetype (such as Al Gore), but whether these can seize the reins of power remains to be seen.
