Most large organizations I know are still deploying XP. I would find it hard to believe 20% of large organizations would go whole hog on Vista in the next 12 months. I think the statistics should be grouped by company size.

Anyone want to poke holes in this story?

Eighty-six Percent of Organizations to Adopt Microsoft Vista -- 20 Percent Within 12 Months -- According to CDW's Windows Vista Tracking Poll
Fifty-one percent of respondents state that at least half of their organization's hardware would require upgrading or replacement to run Vista, but just 26 percent have a Vista implementation plan

No holes, just careful reading and my interpretation. If a company is going to buy a new computer with Vista included, they're "adopting" to some degree. Some, and 20% in the first year isn't unbelievable, will make all NEW purchases require Vista. This doesn't mean they're all upgrading all or any old systems right away. Simply requiring all future hardware to be "Vista ready" may count as "adapting". Plus, plans generally underestimate the actual time things take, and actuals may be 2-3 times as long. Also, look at the folks they sampled, and you're looking at a more forward looking group.
