Thanks - they started all Mac because PC graphics totally s#(&3@ at the time. I actually helped beta (alpha?) test their stuff back then. I recently saw someone with a windows lap and a [oscilloscope] box that plugged into USB - all the functions are in the box, the PC does the display and control commands. Nice if it was on a Mac. Probably is, somewhere. I have the dedicated hardware, don't use it as much as I should because it is a pain in the @$$ to use both in UI and physically moving the @%#$#@#$@ cart - I just want to go to something more portable and most of all small.
